Registered ASIC Agent no. 54954
Government & Regulatory
Australian Government authorisations IPELLIO holds, and the government registries it connects to. Where an authorisation is held, the issuing body and number are shown and can be checked on a public register.
ASIC (Australian Securities and Investments Commission)
The Australian Securities and Investments Commission administers the Business Names Register. IPELLIO connects to ASIC as a registered agent authorised to lodge, and through an approved software channel.
ASIC Registered Agent
Scope of integration
Lodges business name registrations, renewals and maintenance with ASIC on a customer's behalf, and receives ASIC correspondence for those lodgements.
Data handled
Credential
ASIC Registered Agent No. 54954
Why IPELLIO connects to this
A registered agent number lets IPELLIO lodge registrations with ASIC and receive related correspondence. Without it, each registration would need to be lodged directly by the customer through ASIC Connect.
- This is an administrative authorisation to lodge. It is not an endorsement of IPELLIO by ASIC and does not make IPELLIO a legal representative.
- ASIC determines whether a business name is available and whether a registration is accepted.
- Registration of a business name does not, by itself, create trade mark rights in that name.
Your controls
You remain the holder of the business name. You can view your registration and request changes directly through ASIC at any time, independently of IPELLIO.

ATO (Australian Taxation Office)
ATO Digital Service Provider
Scope of integration
Transmits an ABN application, exactly as the customer completes it, to the Australian Business Register.
Data handled
Credential
ATO Digital Service Provider
Why IPELLIO connects to this
Accreditation lets an ABN application completed by a customer be transmitted to the Australian Business Register from within IPELLIO, rather than re-entered on a separate government site.
- IPELLIO transmits the application exactly as the customer completes it. It does not pre-fill, complete, review or amend any part of an ABN application.
- IPELLIO does not provide tax advice and is not a registered tax agent or BAS agent.
- The customer is recorded as the applicant. The Australian Business Register determines whether an ABN is issued.
Your controls
The ABN is issued to you. You can update or cancel it directly through the Australian Business Register at any time, independently of IPELLIO.

IP Australia
IP Australia
Connection
Reads public records from the Australian Trade Marks Register to produce search results, and submits applications with the customer recorded as the applicant.
Data handled
Connection basis
Australian Trademarks Register
Why IPELLIO connects to this
The register is the authoritative source of trade mark records. Reading it produces search results and reports; a filing connection submits an application without the customer re-entering it on a government site.
- IPELLIO is not accredited, endorsed or appointed by IP Australia, and is not a registered trade marks attorney or a legal representative.
- IP Australia examines and determines the acceptance and registration of every application independently.
- Search results are registry observations. They are not a prediction that an application will be accepted or registered, and are not a legal clearance opinion.
- IPELLIO does not acquire ownership of an application or any resulting registration.
Your controls
You remain the applicant, and the owner of any registration. You can run your own search using the free Australian Trademark Search, and view or manage your application directly through IP Australia's online services.
